MyTherapy app on Android

This guide explains how to install the MyTherapy app on an Android phone, add a medicine, set reminder times, and record whether each dose has been taken or skipped. It is intended for patients who want extra support remembering regular medication, vitamins, supplements, measurements, or health tasks.

Before You Start

Use an Android phone or tablet with internet access.
Make sure you can access the Google Play Store.
Have the medication name, strength, dose instructions, and the times it should be taken ready before you begin.
If you are unsure about your medication schedule, check with your pharmacist, GP, prescriber, or care team before setting reminders.
Medication reminder apps are a helpful prompt, but they do not replace professional medical advice.

Step-by-Step: Install MyTherapy on Android
Add a Medication Reminder

Open the MyTherapy app.
If asked, choose whether to create an account or continue as a guest. Creating an account may help if you want to use the app on another device later.
Go to the Treatment area or tap the button to add a new task or medication.
Select Medication.
Search for the medicine name. If it is not listed, add it manually.
Enter the strength and form if prompted, for example tablet, capsule, inhaler, drops, liquid, injection, cream, or patch.
Choose how often the medication is taken, such as once daily, twice daily, specific days of the week, every few days, or only when needed.
Add the reminder time or times. If the medicine is taken more than once a day, add each time separately.
Review the details carefully and save the medication reminder.

Turn On Notifications and Reminder Options

When Android asks for permission, allow MyTherapy to send notifications.
Check that your phone volume and notification settings will allow reminder alerts to be heard or seen.
If the app offers stronger or critical reminder options, only turn these on if they are appropriate for you and you understand how they work on your phone.
If you want refill reminders, enter your current medication supply and choose when you would like to be reminded to order more.

Logging a Dose

When a reminder appears, open it and confirm whether the medication was Taken or Skipped.
You may also be able to snooze the reminder if you need it to alert you again later.
To record a dose manually, open MyTherapy and go to the Today or Treatment area, then tap the medication and choose the correct option.
Try to log doses as soon as possible so the diary stays accurate.

Change, Pause, or Remove a Medication Reminder

Open the MyTherapy app.
Go to the Treatment area or your medication list.
Select the medication you want to change.
Edit the schedule, dose, reminder time, or refill details as needed.
If you stop taking a medicine, do not simply delete it from your routine without checking your medication plan. If in doubt, speak to your pharmacist, GP, prescriber, or care team.

Using Extra Health Tracking Features

MyTherapy can also be used to record measurements such as blood pressure, weight, blood sugar, blood oxygen, symptoms, mood, pain, and appointments.
You can add reminders for these health tasks in the same way as medication reminders.
The app may allow you to export a health report, which can be useful to discuss with a pharmacist, GP, prescriber, or care team.

Troubleshooting

If reminders are not appearing, check that notifications are allowed for MyTherapy in your Android settings.
Check that battery saver, do not disturb, focus, or app sleep settings are not blocking alerts.
Make sure the medication has a reminder time and that the schedule is correct.
Keep the app updated through the Google Play Store.
If you share a phone or use more than one device, check that the correct profile and account are being used.
If you think your medication schedule is wrong, contact your pharmacist, GP, prescriber, or care team before changing how you take your medicine.
